Chinese Culture Camp We held our first Chinese Culture Camp the week of August 19. 6 campers spent the week learning about Chinese language, history and culture as well as getting kung fu training. Coach Jose and Coach Ryan handled the wushu training while Lan Ziegler was in charge of the language and culture portion. The kids all had a great time and learned a great deal. We plan on having a bigger and better camp next summer so put it on your schedule now! Go to our photo page to view pictures of the last day of camp. Tournament season! Summer time is a great time for tournamnets. Coach Jose, Coach Andres, Duane Spenser and Katie Coronado recently attended the Wong People's competition in Washington, DC. Coach Jose was chief judge of the wushu division where Duane took 2nd place in the Hand Forms division and 1st place in the staff division. Way to go Duane! Our next big competition will be the China Open at the U.S. Capital Classics on July 31 where Coach Jose will be running the internal divisions. |
